Even though Marbella isn't home to its own airport, there are numerous airports within the vicinity. The nearest airport that is close to Marbella is within the nearby city of Malaga.
The best advice is to not get there too late if public transportation is limited. I arrived at 10 pm and the only option was the taxi. A taxi ride to Marbella is around 70–80 euros. However, the journey towards Puerto Banus can be around 120–140 euros!
When to go to Marbella
The peak season for Marbella is from May through September, which is when people flock to this beach city. During the course of these months, visitors will experience long hot and sun-filled days, with consistently mild temperatures and a few rainy days.
The shoulder seasons are the best time to visit to get a lower cost of accommodation with fewer crowds, but still quite pleasant conditions.
